Dhanbad, April 20: To display their projects, Innovation Expo 24  was held for final-year students of BIT Sindri on Saturday.

Alumni Cell and Institution Innovation Council 6.0 jointly organized Innovation Expo 24, in which students of the final year (semester VIII) participated and presented their project works for evaluation.

BIT Sindri Director Dr Pankaj Rai highly appreciated the programme and said that Innovation Expo 24  for the final year students regarding their best project is one of the beginning events as the institution (BIT Sindri) is going to celebrate its Diamond Jubilee celebration this year and such type of more events will be held.

Director Rai said projects from different departments were showcased in this Expo, and the best projects were selected by able internal experts and judges. Based on merit, three teams were selected as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively.

Incredible BIT

Dr Ghanshyam, Chairman of the Career Development  Centre (CDC) BIT Sindri while addressing highly praised the BIT Sindri Alumni Cell and  Institution Innovation Council for organizing the Innovation Expo and said that seven decades of  BIT Sindri has a golden history in new innovation and creation in technology.

“BIT Sindri has a glorious tradition.  We would not hesitate in saying ‘incredible BIT’ as our students have innovated one after another innovation and given ideas in the nation as well as abroad right from the beginning to date so far. When innovation, Start Up had not started in Silicon Valley (USA), our students had already started,” said Dr Ghanshyam.

On the occasion, the Dean of Alumni Affairs, Dr Prakash Kumar, said that new innovation, innocent effort, and sound knowledge of research and the study of a subject are necessary.

He said that the aim of this programme was to encourage and provide a platform for students to excel in the technology field.

30 projects for final round

Dr Prakash Kumar said that in the initial round, 30 students’ projects were selected on merit for the final round. In the last round, a panel of experts and judges selected three top teams. On the occasion, the Heads of departments and senior faculty members were also present.
