Jamshedpur, April 26: There will be no respite from extreme heat as IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre today said the prevailing heat wave condition is expected to continue over Jharkhand till Monday, April 29.

Weathermen ruled out the possibility of rain as satellite pictures suggested no significant synoptic condition over Jharkhand.

North-westerly wind

Only north-westerly to westerly surface wind was prevailing over Jharkhand.

Heatwave conditions are likely to occur at isolated pockets of East-Singhbhum, West-Singhbhum and Seraikela-

Kharswan districts of Kolhan division; Bokaro, Dhanbad districts of North Chhotanagpur division; Jamtara,

Godda, Pakur, Dumka and Sahibganj districts of the Santhal Pargana region of the State today.

Heat wave conditions

Tomorrow, April 27, heat wave conditions are likely to occur at isolated pockets of East-Singhbhum, West-Singhbhum and Seraikela-

Kharswan districts of Kolhan division; Bokaro, Dhanbad districts of North Chhotanagpur division; Deoghar,

Jamtara, Godda, Pakur, Dumka and Sahibganj district.

The forecast suggests heat wave conditions in all such districts on April 28 and 29.

Statistics suggested that the maximum temperature fluctuated between 41 and 44 degrees Celsius in most districts across Jharkhand during the past 48 hours.

Notably, schools in various districts across Jharkhand have altered timing after the extreme temperatures.

Warning of Loo

The Met Office also issued a warning of Loo in isolated areas during the next 48 hours.
