Jamshedpur, April 30: A wave of discontent swept through the Srinath Rock Garden Society in Telco Prakash Nagar, as residents, particularly women, took to the streets to protest the chronic water shortage plaguing their community.
Frustrated by the prolonged deprivation of this basic necessity, the residents vented their anger towards the builder responsible for the unfulfilled promises of a 24-hour water supply.
The outcry erupted from the collective frustration of men and women who have endured days of water scarcity. Today, their patience wore thin, leading them to rally together and confront the builder’s office.
Police summons builder and his employees
In a display of indignation, enraged women vandalized the premises and raised slogans against the builder, demanding accountability for the broken assurances.
The escalating situation prompted the intervention of the Govindpur police, who swiftly responded to restore order.

The builder and several of his employees were summoned to the police station to address the grievances of the aggrieved residents. The police assured immediate action to alleviate the water crisis, promising water supply through tankers to mitigate the residents’ hardships.
Residents reach out to BJP leader for help
Residents recounted how they were lured into purchasing flats at exorbitant prices with promises of uninterrupted Jusco water supply and electricity. However, for the past three years, these assurances remained unfulfilled, leaving residents disillusioned and struggling for basic amenities.
Amidst the turmoil, residents reached out to BJP leader DD Tripathi for assistance. Despite his ongoing commitments, Tripathi pledged to prioritize the resolution of the water crisis, reassuring residents of his imminent involvement in finding a sustainable solution to their plight.
Voicing their frustrations, residents demanded accountability from the builder, emphasizing the urgency of immediate action to rectify the water crisis. They expressed their disillusionment with the broken promises and lamented the hardship endured in their pursuit of a better quality of life.
