Jharkhand Elections: NDA candidate Vidyut Baran Mahto files nomination from Jamshedpur LS seat

Jamshedpur, April 30: As scheduled earlier, NDA candidate, Vidyut Baran Mahto on Tuesday filed nomination from the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat amid fanfare, setting the electioneering in motion.

Mahto who is a two-time MP from the Jamshedpur seat was accompanied by Centre ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Arjun Munda besides scores of workers from the BJP and AJSU during the nomination paper-filing procedure at the Jamshedpur collectorate.

Having submitted his nomination to the East Singhbhum deputy commissioner-cum-returning officer Ananya Mittal, the NDA candidate said he would definitely come out victorious once again with the blessings of the people of the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency.

“I will definitely achieve victory in the elections once again with the blessings of the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency and thus strengthen the hands of reverent Narendra Modi in achieving his target of 400 plus seats in this general elections,” said Mahto while talking to the newsmen.

The visiting central minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat also asserted that Vidyut Baran Mahto will definitely win the seat and said that Mahto’s winning margin will be far greater than the previous election.

The central minister and the BJP candidate from the Khunti Lok Sabha seat, Arjun Munda, echoed what Shekhawat said and urged the people to use their franchise in great numbers during the polling day.

Meeting before filing nomination

Before embarking on the nomination file for Vidyut Baran Mahto, the BJP’s district committed had organised a meeting near the Bodhi Temple ground in Sakchi where thousands of party workers turned up. The meeting was addressed by the central ministers Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Arjun Munda besides the NDA candidate himself.

Polling in Jamshedpur Lok Sabha seat is scheduled on May 25 and the nomination process that began on Monday will continue till May 6.
