Supaul, May 7: A presiding officer who was on election duty at a polling booth in Supaul reportedly died from a heart attack today.
The individual who passed away has been identified as Shailendra Kumar.
“He passed away in the morning…This happened where he was posted. He was rushed to PHC, where he was declared dead. The body has been brought here to Sadar Hospital for a postmortem. His relatives were informed and they too have reached here. A postmortem has been done. It was found that he was diabetic,” the doctor said while speaking to ANI.

RJD’s Chandrahas Chaupal against JDU’s sitting MP in Supaul
The RJD has fielded a candidate in the Supaul Lok Sabha constituency for the first time since the 1998 Lok Sabha elections, taking on sitting MP and JDU leader Dileshwar Kamait.
The RJD has nominated Chandrahas Chaupal, who currently serves as an MLA representing the Singheshwar (SC) constituency.
In the third phase of the general elections, Supaul is among the five Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar where voting is presently ongoing. Additionally, the other four seats where polling is underway in this phase are Araria, Madhepura, Khagaria, and Jhanjharpur.
