Jharkhand News: Youth from West Bengal shot dead in Ranchi bar, incident captured on CCTV

Ranchi, May 27: A young man from West Bengal was shot and killed by intruders in a bar in Ranchi. The young man, who worked at the bar, has been identified as Sandeep Pramanik, also known as Sandy DJ.

The incident happened late night on Sunday (May 26) at Extreme Bar. The police were informed about this at around 1 o’clock in the night. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot.

The police of Chutia police station took the injured employee to RIMS, where after medical checkup the doctors declared him dead.

Victim shot in the chest

According to the information, after the bar closed, 4-5 youths arrived there. They had a dispute with the bar staff over something. The dispute escalated to the point where one of these youths shot the DJ at the bar.

The bullet hit Sandeep Pramanik, also known as Sandy DJ, who hails from West Bengal, in the chest. After firing the shot, all the youths fled from there.

The SSP, SP, City DSP, along with the officers in charge of Chutia and Kotwali police stations, arrived to investigate the shooting incident at the bar. Police officers are conducting CCTV surveillance. They are also questioning other employees of the bar.

Murder incident seen in CCTV footage

A 17-second video surfaced on Monday, in which a man is seen shooting Sandy DJ with a rifle while he was leaving Extreme Sports Bar at 1:19 in the night.

After being shot, the person playing DJ walks some distance, after which he becomes exhausted and falls there.

The person who fired the shot was not even wearing a T-shirt or shirt. He is wearing shorts and his face is covered.
