New Delhi, May 29: In connection with the illegal mining case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided 13 places in the Ropar district of Punjab on Wednesday, according to officials.
As per the agency authorities who have knowledge of the development, the raids are still in progress by the Jalandhar-based teams of ED.
Officials disclosed that illegal mining operations were taking place on land that had been previously seized by the Enforcement Directorate in relation to the notorious Bhola drug case.

The trial for the case is presently in a pivotal phase before the Special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court.
A number of individuals and entities connected to the illicit mining operations have been found during the investigation, including Shree Ram Stone Crushers and well-known mining mafia Nasibchand.
Officials stated that during the searches, the ED has so far recovered a total of Rs 3 crore.
