INDI Alliance will win 295+ seats to form Central govt, says Kharge after Opposition meeting

New Delhi, June 1: Before the Lok Sabha election results and the commencement of exit polls, a crucial meeting of the INDIA bloc was held in Delhi today, Saturday, at 3 p.m. The meeting took place at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

According to sources, discussions were held during the meeting regarding the alliance’s strategy post-elections. Several key leaders of the alliance participated in the meeting.

Will participate in exit poll debates: Kharge

Following the INDIA bloc meeting, a press conference was convened where Mallikarjun Kharge announced that their alliance will secure over 295 seats to form the central government. He emphasized this as the mandate of the people. Additionally, he stated their intention to participate in exit polls to communicate the truth to the public.

“INDIA bloc will win at least 295 seats in the elections…it will be over that, but not less. We have analysed after discussing with all the leaders, and there is no doubt in the number…this is people’s survey, based on the information given by people,” stated Congress chief Kharge.

“We have decided to participate in exit poll debates. We want to take the truth to people, against the narrative they (BJP) are trying to present,” he added.

Who all attended the Opposition meeting?

Sonia Gandhi, Sharad Pawar, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, former Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, Farooq Abdullah, JMM CM Champai Soren, Kalpana Soren, KC Venugopal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha, Ram Gopal Yadav and many other leaders of the INDI Alliance attended the meeting.

In this meeting, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was absent, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin was also not present.

Prior to this meeting, Rahul Gandhi mentioned today that a new dawn awaits on June 4.

Notably, today marks the final phase of voting for the Lok Sabha elections. After the voting concludes on Saturday, the voting process will be complete, and the counting of votes will take place on June 4.
