Dhanbad, June 3: The district administration has made transparent arrangements for the peaceful counting of Lok Sabha voters scheduled to be held at Krishi Bazar Samiti near the new collectorate tomorrow.
Deputy commissioner (DC) cum electoral officer Madhvi Mishra along with observes K Thawlison, DJ Vasawa and other senior officials of the district administration assessed the arrangement for counting and expressed satisfaction from all points of view.
16 magistrates deployed at strong room
DC Madhvi Mishra and senior superintendent of police (SSP) Dhanbad HP Janardanan, ADM (law and order ) Hema Prasad said that for maintaining law and order during the counting of votes 16 magistrates and police officials will be deployed in the premises of Krishi bazaar Samiti while 13 other magistrates and police officers will monitor traffic movement during the period for smooth movement of people as well as poll personnel.

The administration has also closed old routes and fixed a new road for the public on June 4 during the counting and bike squads will be monitoring the system the whole day for the convenience of people.

Quick Response Team at strong room
“For safety and transparency, a Quick Response Team (RRT) has been deployed at the strong room while a police control room has been set up at the entry point of Krishi Bazar Samiti. A Media Centre for electronics and print media has also been set up near the control room,” the official said.
For mistake-free counting of votes, the district administration held special training for counting personnel before the final countdown. The micro-observers counting supervisors and counting assistant were imparted training at New Town Hall ( for postal ballots counting) and SSLNT Women’s College ( for EVM counting) respectively.
