New Delhi, June 4: For the third time in a row, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has won the Lok Sabha seat from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
PM Modi has secured victory against Ajai Rai, the Uttar Pradesh Congress president and opposition candidate, with a margin of 1,52,513 votes.
The Prime Minister garnered 6,12,970 votes, whereas Rai obtained 4,60,457 votes.
PM Modi won 54.24% of the votes, while Rai achieved 40.74%.
The NDA, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, is currently leading on 293 seats and the INDIA bloc is ahead on 232 seats, surprising all exit poll expectations as the Lok Sabha election results are being counted.
