Dhanbad, June 6: A Special Lok Adalat will be held in Dhanbad Civil Court premises on June 20 to settle land acquisition, revenue collection and compensation-related cases.
In this regard, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) chairman cum Dhanbad Principal District and Session Judge Ram Sharma today held a review meeting with officers of the district administration, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), Eastern Coalfield Limited (ECL), SAIL, Tata Collieries, Rail Division, DVC and other public sector units.
The DLSA chairman, at the meeting, directed district administration officials to settle the maximum number of cases in the Special Lok Adalat in June.
The Special Lok Adalat has been organised on the directive of the Jharkhand Legal Services Authority (JLSA).

Lok Adalat on June 29
Giving this information to media persons, DLSA secretary cum Sub judge Rakesh Roshan said that the Special Lok Adalat has been organised on June 29 to settle the cases related to land acquisition by coal companies, public sector units and different kinds of compensations, revenue collection and other dispute.
The district judge has also directed judicial officers to identify the cases that could be settled in the Special Lok Adalat.
At the review meeting, permanent Lok Adalat chairman Piyush Kumar, Sub judge Sweta Kumari, ADM Binod Kumar, DCLR Santosh Gupta, DFO Vikash Paliwal, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ravi Raj Sharma, all circles officers, BDOs and senior officials of public and private sector companies were present.
