Jamshedpur, June 10: Prominent social organization, ‘Naman,’ paid heartfelt tributes to the legendary freedom fighter Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his martyrdom day, under the leadership of Naman’s founder. The event, marked by the laying of floral tributes, saw a pledge to follow the guidance and ideals of Birsa Munda.
Birsa Munda’s sacrifices remembered
Amarpreet Singh Kale, providing detailed insights into Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s sacrifices, highlighted that at a very young age, Birsa Munda fought valiantly in the freedom struggle.
Kale emphasized the importance of remembering Birsa Munda’s struggles and urged everyone to collectively work towards fulfilling his dreams, contributing to the prosperity of independent India by following the path he illuminated.
Dinesh Mandal of the Samajik Samrasata Manch remarked that the country will forever be indebted to Birsa Munda’s sacrifices. He noted that Munda’s uprising against British rule, through the movement known as Ulgulan, was pivotal in the fight to protect water, forest, land, and the motherland.

Senior journalist Jaiprakash lauded Birsa Munda’s revolutionary leadership against British rule and his efforts to instil a sense of nationalism across the country.
Chand Mani Kunkal, leader of Adivasi Ho Samaj, expressed deep respect for Munda’s ultimate sacrifice for the motherland.
The event also featured speeches from various notable individuals including Ram Singh Munda, Nand Lal Patar, Ram Kewal Mishra, and Swati Mishra, who shared their thoughts and paid homage to Birsa Munda.

The tribute ceremony saw the presence of numerous attendees, including Sura Biruli, Ravi Sawaiya, Ganga Ram Tirkey, Ramu Tirkey, Jaswant Singh Bhoma, Ramkewal Mishra, Manoj Mishra, Sandeep Singh, Rajpati Devi, Kakuli Mukherjee, Aarti Mukhi, Lakkhi Kaur, Mamta Pushti, Mamta Saha, Mahalakshmi Devi, Seema Jaiswal, Mamta Singh, Simi Kashyap, Shukla Haldar, Kamaljit Kaur, and many others who joined in honouring the memory of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
