Jamshedpur, July 26: Light to moderate rain is expected to take place in several districts of Jharkhand today.
However, weathermen said one or two isolated places in southern Jharkhand might also witness heavy showers today.
The cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand and neighbourhood was today lying over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height.

The monsoon trough at mean sea level was passing through Shri Ganganagar, Jaipur, Gwalior, Sidhi, Ranchi, Canning and thence east-southeastwards to Northeast Bay of Bengal.
Light to moderate rain was observed at many places over the state during the past two days.
Monsoon activity was normal over the state during the last two days.
The highest rainfall of 70.4 mm was recorded at Kanke (Ranchi). The highest maximum temperature 35.2°C was recorded at Godda while the lowest minimum temperature of 24.4°C was recorded at Ranchi on Thursday.
Jharkhand’s rain deficit stood at 47% as of today.
