Bhaker-Sarabjot’s mixed team secures bronze medal match spot in 10m air pistol at Paris Olympics

Chateauroux, Jul 29: The Indian duo of Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh on Monday secured a spot in the bronze medal match of the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the Paris Olympics.

Manu and Sarabjot, with a total score of 580-20x points, secured third place and will compete against the South Korean team, which placed fourth with 579-18x points.

The gold medal match will be contested between Turkiye (582-18x) and Serbia (581-24x).

Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema, who ended up in 10th place, did not advance to the medal round.

During the mixed team 10m air pistol event’s qualification round, each team member had the opportunity to fire 30 shots within 30 minutes. Each series comprised 10 shots per player, totalling 20 shots per series.

The top four teams qualified for the medal rounds, with the top two contending for gold and the teams in third and fourth place competing for bronze.
