Ranchi, July 30: Governor-designate Santosh Gangwar, who reached here today, will take oath tomorrow at 9.45 am. Acting Chief Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad will administer him oath of office.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren along with his MLA wife Kalpana Soren welcomed and felicitated the Governor-designate at the airport premises. On the occasion, Jharkhand Legislative Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahto, several ministers, Chief Secretary L. Khiangte, Additional Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, DGP Anurag Gupta, Principal Secretary Cabinet Secretariat and Coordination Department Vandana Dadel and other senior officers of the state government also welcomed the nominated Governor. Principal Secretary to Governor NM Kulkarni greeted Gangwar at the raj Bhawan.
Earlier, outgoing Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan was given a heartfelt farewell by the chief minister and his cabinet colleagues. He has been appointed governor of Maharashtra.
