PVUN Limited celebrates 78th Independence Day

Ramgarh, August 15: The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at PVUN Limited, Patratu. R.K. Singh, Head of Project, PVUNL, presided over the ceremony, unfurling the national flag at the PVUNL Township Ground. The event commenced with the singing of the National Anthem, setting a tone of patriotic fervour.

The celebrations featured a parade inspection by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). In his address, R.K. Singh paid tribute to the bravery and courage of the freedom fighters who laid the foundation for India’s independence. He also emphasized PVUNL’s significant achievements and growth trajectory, particularly noting the milestones reached by the Banardih Coal Mining Project.

The event included various cultural performances by the children of Bal Bhawan and the Swarnarekha Mahila Samiti, adding a vibrant touch to the celebrations.

The ceremony concluded with the CEO Meritorious Award Ceremony, where  R.K. Singh, along with General Managers and Heads of Departments, members of Swarnrekha Mahila Samiti presented certificates and awards to employees for their exceptional contributions and appreciation letters to CISF personnel.

Utkarsh Scholarships were also awarded to students from the project target schools who achieved the highest marks in their Class 10 and 12 board exams. Additionally, tricycles were distributed to differently-abled individuals from the project target villages.

In addition to the celebration, the CEO PVUNL inaugurated Township C2 Block and Fire Water Pump House in the  Township and the Plant.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the end of a day filled with pride and patriotism.
