Jamshedpur, August 26: The East India President of the All India Sikh Students Federation, Satnam Singh Gambhir, has called for the central government to take action against actress Kangana Ranaut for her controversial statements. He accused Ranaut of making remarks that tarnish the image of Punjab and its people, claiming that her statements are fostering a negative atmosphere in the state.
Gambhir pointed out that Ranaut has repeatedly made inflammatory comments, at times disparaging Punjab’s farmers and at other times labelling Punjabis as terrorists. “From her statements, it seems she has the backing of the central leadership of the BJP, or the party is deliberately prompting her to make such statements,” he alleged.

According to Gambhir, the BJP has been targeting Punjab since the farmers’ movement. He argued that anyone who speaks out against the Modi government faces defamation or harassment by the central authorities, and Punjab is now facing the same treatment.
The All India Sikh Students Federation has appealed to the central leadership of the BJP to control Ranaut’s controversial remarks, emphasizing that such rhetoric is sending a damaging message not just to Punjabis but to the entire nation. “A deteriorating social environment does not only harm one community or state; it affects everyone in some way or another,” Gambhir concluded.
