Jamshedpur, August 26: Bollywood actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut is once again under fire for her controversial statements, this time against farmers. The repercussions of her comments are being felt across the country, including in Jamshedpur, where Sardar Bhagwan Singh, the president of the Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) and a prominent leader of the farmers’ movement, has voiced his anger and called for strict action against Ranaut under the National Security Act (NSA).

Singh alleges derogatory comments about farmers and Sikhs

On Monday, Sardar Bhagwan Singh condemned Kangana Ranaut’s recent statements, expressing disbelief over who might be encouraging her to make such offensive remarks against farmers. “It is unknown who is giving her the power to use such abusive words against farmers every day,” Bhagwan Singh said, criticizing the lack of control over her statements.

Singh supports woman who slapped Kangana

Singh further stated that it is unfortunate that a BJP MP, like Ranaut, continues to make derogatory comments about farmers and Sikhs. “If a young woman, who supports farmers, teaches Kangana a lesson by slapping her, what’s wrong with that?” he questioned, highlighting the growing frustration within the farming community and its supporters.

Adding fuel to the fire, Singh also mentioned that Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming film, Emergency, contains language that insults Sikhs. “We have heard that Sikhs are being portrayed as terrorists in the film. If this is proven true, the CGPC will organize large-scale protests and demand a ban on the film,” Singh warned, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation and the potential for widespread unrest.

Kangana makes remarks on Punjab

Kangana Ranaut, who represents Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, as a BJP MP, recently made provocative remarks about Punjab in a conversation with a private newspaper. She alleged that rapes and murders occurred during the farmers’ movement and suggested that if the government had been weak, “Punjab would also have become Bangladesh.”

These comments have sparked a nationwide backlash, with many accusing Ranaut of making baseless and inflammatory statements. Sardar Bhagwan Singh’s strong reaction reflects the anger and discontent brewing among farmers and their leaders, who feel insulted by Ranaut’s repeated derogatory remarks.
