Possible reason

The police are investigating how so many youths lost their lives. There is no reason officially confirmed so far for these deaths. However, reports are saying that exposure to heat, stressful exercises and waiting for long hours in recruitment queues might have led to cardiac arrests leading to the death of these youths.

Over 5 lakh youths are participating in the recruitment for 583 posts.

7 centres for test

Seven centres have been set up across the state for the excise constable race.

IG (operation) Amol Homkar said that many facilities have been arranged for the candidates participating in this recruitment. Unfortunately, some candidates have died while taking the physical examination at some centres.

Unnatural death cases have been registered in this regard. Efforts are being made to know the cause of death. A lot of arrangements have been made for the transparent selection process of the candidates at all the centres and for their cooperation and convenience. It is being seen that those who faint are forgetting their name and address. They may have taken some medicated medicine.
