Jamshedpur, Sept 25: Jharkhand is under the impact of low pressure and this would result in heavy rainfall in isolated places today.
Heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over north-eastern, south-eastern and adjoining central parts of the state today.
Thunderstorm and lightning with gusty wind (maximum speed 30-40 kmph) is also expected at isolated places over the state today.

Statistics revealed that Jharkhand was currently facing a rain deficit of 4 per cent.
The line of withdrawal of the southwest monsoon was today passing through Firozpur, Sirsa, Churu, Ajmer, Mount Abu, Deesa, Surendranagar and Junagarh.
Satellite pictures suggested that under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over the Central Bay of Bengal, a low-pressure area has formed over west-central Bay of Bengal and adjoining northwest Andhra – south Odisha coasts.
An associated cyclonic circulation was also extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height.
