Ranchi, Oct 7: Union Minister and BJP’s Jharkhand election in-charge, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, criticized the Hemant Soren government today, accusing it of enabling an increase in Bangladeshi infiltration.

Chouhan stated that under the state’s protection, Bangladeshi infiltrators are growing in numbers, particularly in the Santhal Pargana region, causing significant demographic changes. He noted that the tribal population has decreased from 44% to 28%, and this infiltration is affecting both tribal and general populations.

He further alleged that the state government is helping infiltrators by issuing Aadhaar cards and adding their names to the voter list, driven by vote-bank politics and appeasement.

Chouhan said that these infiltrators settle in the region, marry tribal women, and seize their land. Referring to specific incidents, he mentioned the brutal murder of Rubika Pahadiya and the burning of Ankita, emphasizing the dangers posed by such intrusions.

He expressed concern that infiltrators are now marrying tribal women to establish dominance over local governance. Chouhan stressed that the current battle in Jharkhand is not just for political power but to safeguard employment (roti), land (maati), and the dignity of daughters and sisters.

He announced that BJP will soon release a detailed manifesto. Once the NDA government is formed in the state, the NRC will be implemented to identify and deport infiltrators from the country.
