DPS Bokaro's Shlok emerges state topper in Mathematics Olympiad

Dhanbad, Oct 17: Shlok Anand, a Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro student, has emerged as the state topper in the Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) examination.

According to school officials, 15 students from DPS Bokaro qualified for the examination, with Shlok Anand topping category ‘A’ (Classes VII-XI) in Jharkhand with an impressive score of 59. Arush Banerjee also excelled, securing the position of district topper and second state topper in category ‘B’ (Class XII) with a score of 54.

Other qualified students include Shivam Ojha, Anuj, Ayush Raj, Kumar Anmol, Aarush Ranjan, Nitin Kumar Singh, Ayush Lachhiramka, Aditya Raj Chauhan, Shirish Krejia, Shudhanshu Kumar, Malvin Parira, Jay Satvik Madireddy, and Ayushi Singh.

The IOQM is the first stage of the Mathematical Olympiad program in India, recognized for its rigorous assessment of mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills. It serves as a crucial stepping stone for students aspiring to compete in the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad (INMO).

Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar congratulated the achievers, stating, “These achievements not only demonstrate the academic prowess of the students but also reflect DPS Bokaro’s commitment to providing quality education and nurturing talent across various disciplines.”

He added, “The result is a profound impact of the collaborative efforts of the school, students, and parents.”
