Prayagraj, Nov 15: The Uttar Pradesh government has accepted the demands of protesting candidates and scheduled the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) prelims examination to take place on December 22, on a single day.
The exam will be conducted in two shifts: the first from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and the second from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
The exam was originally scheduled for October 27, then postponed, and rescheduled for December 7 and 8.

Reports indicate that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed the commission to address the issues raised by the protesting students, prompting the revision of the examination schedule.
Hundreds of aspirants protested outside the UPPSC office in Prayagraj, calling for a change in the exam format. They claimed that the original format, spanning multiple days and shifts, was unjust and prone to inconsistencies.
The Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (Pre.) Examination is expected to see over 10 lakh candidates participating.
