New Delhi, Nov 15: A coordinated operation by anti-narcotics agencies resulted in the confiscation of approximately 700 kg of drugs and the arrest of eight foreign nationals in Indian territorial waters off the Gujarat coast on Friday.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) released a statement, revealing that the operation, named ‘Sagar Manthan – 4,’ was initiated following intelligence reports. The Navy intercepted a vessel by deploying its maritime patrol assets.

The NCB reported that a large shipment of approximately 700 kg of Methamphetamine was intercepted in Indian territorial waters. During the operation, eight foreign nationals, who claimed themselves to be Iranians, were arrested.
The NCB, Navy, and Gujarat Police Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) worked together to carry out the operation.
