Ranchi, Nov. 25: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led Central government, saying there is a training in lies in their school (Unke school mein jhuth ki kheti hoti hai).
Blaming the Centre for the frequent tragic incidents with labourers, Soren said the entire Uttarakhand is being gnawed in the name of development.
“They take labourers from Jharkhand and get them killed. Sometimes in Leh Ladakh; sometimes in a tunnel. No security standards are followed,” he alleged.
The Chief Minister was addressing a programme organized on the occasion of the third phase of the “Aapki Yojana – Aapki Sarkar – Aapke Dwar” campaign in Pakur today.
Castigating the Opposition on the price rise, he maintained, “While we are working, the opposition is trying to lay waste to it.”

“They have no contribution to the creation and development of the state. They have no contribution to the country’s independence either,” he said.
Soren also raked up the issue of “note bandi’, saying 2000 notes were also printed to benefit the business friends. “If it was aimed at curbing corruption, why did the centre ban the Rs 2000 notes? He asked.
Calling upon the tribals and Dalits to unite, he said there are 131 reserved seats in the country. “If we are united, we can have our government in Delhi in 2024,” he said.
The chief minister, on this occasion, distributed assets worth Rs 126.94 crore.
Public problems
The Chief Minister said that after the formation of Jharkhand as a separate state, during the last two decades, no seriousness was shown towards solving the public problems and issues of the people.
“But our government is providing basic facilities to the people and solving their problems. We are giving their rights and entitlements to the last person of the society,” he added.
Housing to 8 lakh families
The Chief Minister said that the state government, on its own, will now provide housing to 8 lakh families under the Abua Awas Yojana.
He said that Kala-azar disease is common in the Pakur district. “This is a disease of the poor because people living in unbuilt and dilapidated houses suffer from it. In such a situation, under the Abua Awas Yojana, the people living in these houses will be provided housing on a priority basis,” he said.
He said that about 20 lakh additional green ration cards are being issued and food grains are being provided to them. “Apart from this, there are many such schemes, the financial burden of which is being borne by the state government on its own. To ensure that these schemes operate successfully, the financial system is being strengthened,” he added.
Now, no wait for a pension
The Chief Minister said that earlier the elderly had to wait a long time to avail the benefits of the pension scheme. “Unless widows were above 40 years of age and disabled people were above 18 years of age, they were not linked to the pension scheme. But our government has eliminated all these obligations by implementing the Universal Pension Scheme. Today all eligible persons are getting the benefits of the Universal Pension Scheme,” he added.
