New Delhi, Nov 21: Former Higher Education Secretary K. Sanjay Murthy took oath as the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India on Thursday.
President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to him.
The Centre appointed K. Sanjay Murthy, a 1989-batch IAS officer from the Himachal Pradesh cadre, as the new Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India on November 18.

He succeeds Girish Chandra Murmu in the role whose tenure as the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) came to an end on Wednesday.
The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, and several other dignitaries.
