DPS Bokaro: SP Priyadarshi Alok talks on role of education in shaping next-gen

Dhanbad, Nov 28: The varieties of cultural programmes dished up by students of Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro in the biennial house function ‘Sangam’ mesmerized the audience as well as guests who graced the occasion.

Bokaro Superintendent of Police (SP)  Priyadarshi Alok was the chief guest of the function while steel city-based different posh schools’ principals were present as guests of honour.

The programme commenced with the presentation of saplings symbolizing the commitment of the school towards environmental preservation and awareness.

The audience was greeted with the welcome song “Padharo Mhare Desh”. Ganga House Wardens Abhattacharya and Priya Rani Sen welcomed guests.

Dance performances on various themes

The students of Houses showcasing their passion for music, displayed a captivating dance performance, portraying the beauty and grandeur of rain. They mesmerized the audience with the dance drama centred around the theme of social media.

Jamuna House Wardens P Kalawati and Neetu Singh apprised the gathering with the achievement scroll. The soul-stirring song performance titled “Mai Taiyaar Hoon” and the powerful dance symbolizing the element of fire by the tiny tots.

The senior students conveyed a powerful message through their poignant dance performance highlighting the issue of child labour.

 

“Zenith” the quarterly compendium was released on the occasion.

SP lauds students, school

SP Priyadarshi Alok highly praised the performance of DPS students and emphasized the significance of education and its role in shaping the future generation.

He lauded the school’s commitment to providing holistic education and fostering a nurturing environment for its students which was eloquently portrayed throughout the evening.

Principal appeals to parents to spend time with children

Dr AS Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro appreciated the students and emphasized the importance of creativity, collective effort and the pursuit of excellence. He urged parents to spend quality time with children understanding their needs in the spirit of open communication.

Raavi House Wardens E Sharmila and Shweta Shubham proposed a vote of thanks.
