Jamshedpur, Dec 28:  IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a forecast of light rain in isolated areas of Jharkhand today.

Shallow to moderate fog prevailed in the morning.

Generally cloudy sky with possibility of light rain likely at isolated places over western and adjoining northern and central parts of the state today.

Tomorrow too there is a forecast of shallow to moderate fog and mist in the morning.

There is also a possibility of light rain at isolated places over southern and adjoining central parts of the state.

The western disturbance as a cyclonic circulation was today lying  over north Pakistan and  neighbourhood between 3.1 and 5.8 Km above mean sea level with a trough aloft in upper tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 7.6 Km above mean sea level.

The induced cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan and neighbourhood was extending upto 1.5 Km above the mean sea level.

Weathermen said the minimum temperature would continue to witness a rise for the next 24- hours, thereafter the chill would again intensify as the night reading is expected to plummet.
