Jamshedpur, Jan 2: The free fall of minimum temperature continued across Jharkhand due to the dominating north-westerly wind.
Statistics of IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre showed plummeting night readings in most places with Gumla today recording the state’s lowest minimum temperature of 5.2 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature in Ranchi plummeted to 6.6 degrees Celsius today while Jamshedpur recorded 10 degrees.

Daltonganj today recorded a minimum temperature of 7 degrees Celsius while Bokaro recorded 8.4 degrees Celsius.
Hazaribag and Deoghar today recorded around 7.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum dropped to 5.5 degrees Celsius in Khunti today.
Moderate cold wave conditions were prevailing in isolated pockets of the state today.
Weathermen said that the fall in minimum temperature is expected to continue for the next 48 hours thereafter the minimum temperature will witness a slight rise.
