Jamshedpur, Jan 4:  Jamshedpur FC Reserves bowed out of the Bhadreswar Gold Cup after a hard-fought 2-1 defeat against Mohammedan SC Reserves in their opening match played at Spandan Stadium in Bhadreswar, West Bengal on Friday.

The first half proved challenging for the young Jamshedpur FC as Mohammedan SC capitalized on defensive lapses to score two quick goals.

Despite some promising moments, Jamshedpur struggled to find their rhythm in the opening 45 minutes, giving the Kolkata-based side a firm advantage going into the break.

The second half, however, was a different story as Jamshedpur FC came out with renewed energy and determination.

Dominating possession and creating multiple chances, the Reserves showed glimpses of their attacking potential.

Remson’s goal midway through the half ignited hopes of a comeback, as the forward showcased composure to slot the ball past the Mohammedan goalkeeper.

Rashithoi Meetei, Zuala, and Remson all came close to levelling the score, but a combination of near misses and resolute defending from Mohammedan SC kept Jamshedpur at bay.
