Jamshedpur, Jan 27: St. John’s High School recently hosted a Road Safety Awareness session organized by the Young Indians. The event aimed to instil safe road practices in young minds through an initiative aptly titled “Chota Cops.” This program empowers children to act as advocates for road safety within their families, encouraging elders to adopt and follow safe practices on the roads.

The session was led by Sunil Parikh, who stressed the urgent need for road safety awareness in a country that regrettably ranks first globally in road accidents. He emphasized the importance of nurturing responsible behaviour from a young age, highlighting the belief that children can play a key role in fostering positive change.

St. John’s High School aligns with this vision through its motto, “Catch Them Young.” The school believes it has a moral responsibility to ensure safer, accident-free roads for future generations. Through initiatives like this, they aim to build a community that prioritizes road safety both within and beyond the school.

The session was well-received, leaving students inspired to embrace their new roles as “Chota Cops” and spread awareness about road safety among their families and communities.
