He pointed out that the delay is due to the vacancy of the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Chairman’s post, which has left the future of lakhs of students in jeopardy. Approximately 21 lakh students, who are due to appear for their matriculation, intermediate, and other board examinations, are now facing disruptions because of this administrative gap.

Marandi emphasized that if the exams are not conducted on time, students will encounter significant difficulties in securing admissions for the next academic session.

JPSC also awaits Chairman

He also raised concerns about the long-standing vacancy of the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Chairman’s post, which has remained unfilled since August last year. This has caused delays in several important examinations, leaving thousands of candidates under immense mental and financial stress. Despite years of hard work and preparation, these aspirants are now uncertain about their future.

Marandi stated that student welfare and job creation should be the top priorities of any government. However, he lamented that the students of Jharkhand are facing such instability under the current administration.

He urged Chief Minister Hemant Soren to take immediate action and fill these critical positions to safeguard the interests of students and aspirants across the state.
