Jamshedpur, Feb 19: Restrictions will be imposed on the movement of vehicles on the Jubilee Park Road from February 21 to March 7 due to the preparations for the Founder’s Day celebrations.

Tata Steel UISL (formerly JUSCO) which looks after the upkeep of the park today issued a public circular saying that the Jubilee Park Road will remain closed for a fortnight from February 21 during which restrictions will be imposed for pedestrians as well as vehicles to facilitate smooth preparations for the Founder’s Day celebrations.

Commuters have been advised to plan their movement through alternative routes and make necessary adjustments to accommodate the closure. Security measures will be in place to regulate access during the preparation phase.

People driving to Sonari will have to take the Baug-E-Jamsheed roundabout and turn on the Straight Mile Road to reach their destination.

The Founder’s Day celebrations which begin on March 2 and continue for four to five days promise to be a grand occasion, and the temporary closure aims to facilitate the necessary arrangements and ensure the safety and successful conduct of the celebration.

The illumination work at the picturesque Jubilee Park has already begun. The Founder’s Day celebration witnesses a huge footfall of people who come from various parts of the city and the state to witness the celebration and enjoy the illumination at the park.
