Patna, March 8: The 70th BPSC candidates have suffered a significant setback as the Patna High Court has declined to stay the BPSC Mains exam.

The bench, consisting of Acting Chief Justice Ashutosh Kumar and Justice Partha Sarthy, made it clear that the 70th BPSC Mains exam will proceed as scheduled and will not be postponed.

However, the court acknowledged that the allegations raised in the petitions seeking a stay on the PT exam are serious.

It further stated that a detailed hearing on these petitions will continue, with the next hearing scheduled for March 18.

Additionally, the court directed the BPSC to file an affidavit addressing the allegations raised in the petitions.

A public interest litigation filed by a legal forum has raised serious allegations of irregularities in the 70th BPSC PT exam. The petition claims that the commission invited private coaching institutes before the exam to discuss exam-related matters with the aim of benefiting certain students.

This incident is being described as the first of its kind in the country, where confidential information was shared before the exam.
