Ramgarh, March 11: In a significant achievement for India’s energy sector, Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (PVUNL) successfully synchronized the first 800 MW unit of the Patratu Super Thermal Power Phase-I Project with the grid at 9:14 a.m.

This milestone marks a major step toward strengthening Jharkhand’s energy infrastructure and ensuring a stable power supply for the nation.

R.K. Singh, CEO of PVUNL, expressed gratitude to the PVUNL, NTPC and BHEL teams for their tireless efforts, dedication, and perseverance in overcoming challenges to achieve this synchronization.

Looking ahead, PVUNL’s immediate priority is to achieve the Commercial Operation Date (COD) for Unit #1 within this financial year. Additionally, the company is committed to commissioning the remaining two units of Phase-I in FY 2025-26, further enhancing India’s power generation capacity.

“This achievement reflects the strategic planning, collaboration, and dedication of all involved in the Patratu Super Thermal Power Project,” said R. K. Singh. He also thanked the NTPC senior management and JBVNL for their support and added, “We remain focused on delivering sustainable and efficient power for the nation.”
