India leads at World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025 with 95 medals

New Delhi, March 13: India continues to dominate the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025 in New Delhi, securing the top spot in the medal tally after Day 2 with an impressive 95 medals—33 gold, 29 silver, and 33 bronze, as per the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) press release.

Trailing far behind, the Neutral Para Athletes contingent holds second place with 26 medals (13 gold, 9 silver, and 4 bronze), while Uzbekistan ranks third with 4 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze medals.

With the final day of competition ahead, India’s contingent remains poised for further success. Among the key Indian athletes set to compete are Preeti Pal (200m T38), Ravi Rangoli (Shot Put F41), Ankur Dhama (5000m T12), Kashish Lakra (Discus Throw F53), Pranab Prashant Desai (200m T64), Balaji Rajendran (Shot Put F11), and Abhishek B Jadhav (200m T35), all aiming to add to the country’s medal tally.

Adding to the event’s global appeal, legendary para-athlete Vanessa Low, a two-time Paralympic medallist and world record holder, will compete in the Women’s Long Jump events across T38, T44, T61, and T64 categories, bringing an elite international presence to the Grand Prix.
