In Uttar Pradesh, special security arrangements were made for Eid, with a heavy deployment of police and paramilitary forces, particularly outside the Sambhal Eidgah. Thousands of Muslims, including MP Zia-ur Rahman Barq, offered Eid prayers at the Sambhal Eidgah and prayed for peace and harmony.

Sambhal SDM Vandana Mishra stated that the Eid prayers were conducted smoothly, and people were returning to their homes peacefully. She confirmed that the event was held in an orderly manner, with no reports of any issues.

Meanwhile, Muslim communities in Meerut, Lucknow, and Prayagraj also offered prayers under tight security in a peaceful atmosphere.

Eid prayers were also performed at Eidgahs across Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and several other states.

In West Bengal, Muslim communities offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at Eidgahs and mosques across the state. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee visited the Kolkata Eidgah and extended Eid greetings.

Speaking at the event, she noted that Navratri was also being observed and conveyed her best wishes for the festival. She emphasized that no one should incite riots, stating that ordinary people do not create unrest—political parties do, which she called shameful. She added that she was ready to sacrifice for all religions.
