Daltonganj, April 9: The much-anticipated Jan Shikaayat Samadhan programme is scheduled to take place on 16 April, continuing its mission to resolve public grievances swiftly and transparently. Initiated by DGP Anurag Gupta, the programme is steadily gaining traction and trust among residents of Palamu district.

SP Office Appeals for Public Participation

The Superintendent of Police, Palamu, has issued a formal appeal encouraging citizens to attend the upcoming session and voice their concerns. Previous editions have revealed that land-related issues top the list of public complaints, closely followed by marital and family disputes.

Call for Broader Collaboration

To further strengthen the programme’s outreach, there’s a strong case for involving para-legal volunteers through collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA). Being locals, these volunteers bring valuable insights and familiarity with grassroots issues.

Revenue Officials Key to the Process

The presence of revenue department officials, from Karamcharis to Circle Officers (COs), has proven crucial in past sessions. Their participation helps in the immediate redressal of land disputes and administrative matters.

This citizen-centric initiative reflects a growing commitment to accessible governance and could serve as a model for other districts aiming to bridge the gap between the administration and the public.
