Pahalgam, April 23: In the wake of Tuesday’s horrific terror attack in Pahalgam, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached the Baisaran meadow on Wednesday, the location where the terrorist attack took the lives of 26 people.

The attack, one of the deadliest in the region since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, claimed 26 innocent lives, most of them tourists, casting a dark shadow over the Anantnag district.

Shah arrived at the site via helicopter amid tightened security, with army personnel deployed across the region. The meadow, once a symbol of Kashmir’s scenic beauty, now bears grim reminders of the violence that unfolded.

Earlier in the day, the Home Minister paid homage to the victims in a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Police Control Room in Srinagar. During the tribute, he also met with bereaved families, their grief palpable as they clung to memories of loved ones lost in the carnage.
