New Delhi, May 7: Following the Indian Army’s execution of Operation Sindoor, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level meeting today with the Chief Ministers, Directors General of Police (DGPs), and Chief Secretaries of the border states.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Ministers of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, and West Bengal, along with the Lieutenant Governors of Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir.

It may be noted that late Tuesday night, the Indian Army carried out missile strikes on nine terrorist hideouts located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), destroying them completely. Reports suggest that 10 members of most-wanted terrorist Masood Azhar’s family were killed in the strike.

Sources say that during Operation Sindoor, the Army precisely targeted only terrorist facilities, deliberately avoiding any engagement with the Pakistani military.

In view of rising tensions along the border following the strike, Home Minister Amit Shah held discussions with the CMs of border states to assess the ground situation. Reports indicate that Shah sought updates from the state leaders on the current conditions along the border post-operation.
