Dhativika: Metallurgy for Tomorrow

Hosted by the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, Dhativika focused on the theme “Metal for Tomorrow”, exploring the intersection of sustainability and metallurgical innovation. The programme featured expert talks, technical exhibits, and student-led demonstrations that underlined the future-facing role of material science.

Hack the Future: National Hackathon Pushes Boundaries

The 36-hour Hackathon, organised by the Hackathon and Coding Club, invited tech minds from across India to tackle real-world problems using next-generation technology. Based on the theme “Hack the Future”, the event fostered intense collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving under pressure.

Dr. S.C. Dutta and Md. Akram Khan served as convener and co-convener of the event, respectively.

Vision and Mentorship: Leaders Share Wisdom

From the Career Development Centre (CDC), Prof. Ghanshyam emphasised the value of discipline and perseverance in personal and professional growth.

Key industry voices, including Deepak Kumar (STPI Sindri) and Masoom Mallick (Director, TECHNiX India), encouraged students to explore entrepreneurship and homegrown technologies.

Dr. Dinesh Prabhakar, Assistant Professor at NIAMT Ranchi, shared valuable insights into AI-driven innovation and research-led solutions.

Representatives from BITSAA, including Prafull Kumar (President) and Ms. Sweta Kumari (Secretary), urged participants to translate their hackathon ideas into real-world impact with the support of the alumni network.
