Jamshedpur, May 31: Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected at a few places across Jharkhand today, as per the latest weather bulletin.

The regional rainfall pattern is set to change in the coming days, with isolated showers forecast over the northeastern part of the state on June 1 and over southern areas on June 3.
The shifting weather is linked to a depression currently over Bangladesh, which moved north-northeastwards at 18 Kmph over the past six hours.

On May 30 afternoon, it was centered near 24.4°N latitude and 89.6°E longitude—approximately 40 Km of Tangail, 110 Km north west of Dhaka, 140 Km north of Berhampore, and 260 Km South west of Shillong.
Meteorologists expect the system to continue moving north-northeastwards and weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area within the next 12 hours.
Meanwhile, an upper-air cyclonic circulation persists over central Uttar Pradesh at 0.9 Km above mean sea level, potentially influencing weather developments in the region.
Met statistics revealed that the maximum temperature was hovering between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius in most places across Jharkhand.
