Srinagar, June 3: In a continued crackdown on terror-linked elements within the administration, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has dismissed three government employees accused of having ties with proscribed terrorist outfits Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), according to sources.
The individuals terminated from service include Malik Ishfaq Naseer, a police constable; Ajaz Ahmed, a school education department teacher; and Waseem Ahmad Khan, a Junior Assistant at Government Medical College, Srinagar.

Since assuming office in August 2020, Sinha has focused on dismantling the terror support network within government ranks, targeting not just militants but also overground workers and sympathisers embedded in state institutions. His administration has invoked Article 311(2)(c) of the Constitution to remove over 70 terror-linked individuals from government service.
Backed by intensified counter-terror operations, security forces have neutralised hundreds of terrorists in the Union Territory between 2020 and 2024, reinforcing the government’s commitment to rooting out terrorism from every level of society.
