Ranchi, June 16: Sanjana Kumari from Lohardagga district in Jharkhand has brought laurels to the state and the country by securing two bronze medals at the Thailand International Para Badminton Championship, which concluded on Sunday evening.

Sharing the information, Jharkhand Paralympic Association General Secretary Avinash Tiwari said that according to reports received at the association’s Ranchi headquarters, Sanjana won bronze medals in both the women’s singles and mixed doubles events.

Daughter of Ratan Kumar and Usha Kumari, Sanjana is one of India’s leading para badminton players. She has already been selected as part of the Indian contingent for the upcoming Asian Para Badminton Championship, to be held in Nakhon, Thailand, from June 17 to July 2.

Office bearers of the Jharkhand Paralympic Association congratulated Sanjana on her impressive international performance and expressed confidence that she will continue her excellent form at the Asian Championship and secure medals for the country.
