New Delhi, July 21: In a significant development for the Delhi High Court, six judges transferred from different High Courts across the country were sworn in on Monday, bringing the court’s working strength to 40 out of the sanctioned 60.

Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya administered the oath to the newly arrived judges—Justice V. Kameswar Rao, Justice Nitin Wasudeo Sambre, Justice Vivek Chaudhary, Justice Anil Kshetarpal, Justice Arun Kumar Monga, and Justice Om Prakash Shukla—in a formal swearing-in ceremony held at the High Court premises.

The transfers, initiated on the basis of recommendations made by the Supreme Court Collegium in its May 26 meeting, were formally notified by the Ministry of Law and Justice last week.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of several sitting judges, senior members of the Delhi High Court Bar Association, legal professionals, and family members of the newly appointed judges.
