Heavy rainfall was recorded at one location, with Ramgarh receiving the highest rainfall of 64.5 mm.

The monsoon trough at mean sea level currently extends from the well-marked low-pressure area over West Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan, running through Churu, Ayanagar (Delhi), Shahjahanpur, Lucknow, Patna, Bankura, Digha, and further eastwards into the northeast Bay of Bengal.

A secondary trough extending from central north Bihar to Odisha across Jharkhand continues to persist at an altitude of 0.9 to 1.5 km above mean sea level.

Notably, a fresh low-pressure area is likely to form over the north Bay of Bengal around July 24, which could further enhance rainfall activity over Jharkhand and adjoining regions in the coming days.

Outlook

With an active monsoon trough and a developing low-pressure system, enhanced rainfall is expected across several parts of the state from July 24 onwards.

Authorities are advised to remain on alert for potential waterlogging and disruption in rural and urban areas. Farmers and residents are encouraged to follow weather advisories closely and take necessary precautions.
