Ranchi, July 25: Jharkhand Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari has directed the School Education Secretary to begin the process of establishing an additional Sainik School in the state.

The directive came during a meeting on Friday, chaired by the Chief Secretary, to review various proposals and issues concerning Sainik School, Tilaiya.

Officials informed that there is a pressing need for another Sainik School in the state, as some states already have two such schools.

The Tilaiya Sainik School currently has the highest number of students among all Sainik Schools in the country, with 875 students enrolled.

Tiwari assured the school representatives that all basic requirements of the institution will be met without delay.
