Bengaluru, August 1: The MP/MLA special court in Bengaluru has convicted former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna in a rape case and will announce the quantum of sentence tomorrow, August 2.
Revanna was found guilty of raping a domestic worker employed at his farmhouse. On hearing the verdict, he broke down in tears inside the courtroom.

In the case against Revanna, the victim presented a sari as evidence and alleged that the former MP raped her twice. The victim had also recorded a video of the incident.

Several charges were framed against Prajwal Revanna under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the IT Act.
The judgment came 14 months after the FIR was registered.
