Dhanbad, Dec 14: Jharkhand State Non-Gazetted Employees’ Federation (JS NGEF) served 7 points of demand, including fixation of the same work and pay for health employees to the health minister.

Ashok Kumar Singh ‘Nayan’, the state general secretary of JSNGEF, the frontal organization of 1.70 lakh state government employees, said that employees’ patience is running out. Over 43,000 health staff, including NHM Sahiyas (ASHA workers), have been working for the last 17 years, even though the government needs to take cognizance of their plight.

“So, the Federation has served 7 points of demand to the health minister for immediate implementation today. The government’s inaction would compel the state government employees to take an agitational path,” said Ashok Kumar Singh ‘Nayan’.

The honorarium of all employees working under the National Health Mission (NHM) in all districts should be increased by 15% as per the 7th Pay Commission recommendation.
