The event began with a symbolic lamp-lighting ceremony by Fr. Donald D’Silva, S.J., Dean (Administration & Finance), setting the tone for the day.

This year’s drive recorded an inspiring 25 % increase in participation over last year, with enthusiastic donors from XLRI’s HRM, BM, GMP, and FPM programmes, along with faculty, staff, and their families. Many first-time donors came forward for the cause.

A total of 100+ units of blood were collected, potentially saving the lives of more than 300 people, including cancer patients, those in need of urgent transfusions, and underprivileged patients in government and charitable hospitals.

The process was conducted by trained medical professionals, ensuring strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.

Donors received certificates, souvenirs, and refreshments in appreciation of their life-saving contribution.
